Inspired, in part, by the work of Josef Albers, Chloﾑ Dowds uses line and colour as subject matter in her new collection. Using simple cylinder forms and circles she allows the pieces to interact through careful curation. She controls the palette of greys by dying porcelain by hand in her studio in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Her wall pieces are a juxtaposition of tightly controlled thrown circles and slumped porcelain which has a fabric-like feel. This collection is unified through fine inlayed lines and finished using polishing techniques to ensure the work is super soft to the touch.
