Accidents and observations can lead to interesting discoveries. While developing my dyed porcelain vessels I became increasingly interested in the beautiful turnings and scrapings that their making journey left behind. I have been exhibiting these turnings alongside the vessels to tell the story of the pot. I am currently working with the turnings to develop them into a body of work in themselves. My vessels are hand dyed, thrown porcelain with coloured slip inlay. They are diamond polished outside and glazed inside. They were originally inspired by the colour theory of Josef Albers.
