Ceramic Art London
19-21 April 2024
Kensington Olympia West
New ceramic works by David Millidge show an evolution from vessels to figurative sculpture. Each art work receives the same transformation in a process of dissection and re-assembly. His creations, which are assemblies of slip-cast earthenware forms, seem to evoke the energy of movement. These unique pieces, which are influenced by Fantasy Art, are a mix of many different cultures and faiths. In addition to asking questions of their identity, the use of layered glazes and lustres renders them aesthetically stunning.
