Jo Davies
Jo Davies’ practice includes wheel-throwing a fine porcelain design range, lighting and unique objects. Jo’s approach to high-fired porcelain aims to paradoxically make objects appear fresh off the wheel, and balances softness with rigidity, smoothness with weight and tactility.
As a Royal College of Art MA graduate, Jo exhibits internationally and has worked with the National Portrait Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Hepworth Wakefield, Somerset House, Heals and the National Trust. Jo has also led the design and making of ceramic collections for Mulberry and Union Coffee.
Her book, ‘Electric Kilns for Ceramics,’ was published by Crowood Press in 2023.
