David Wright
David Wright has always enjoyed making things with wood, but making with clay came a little later; it seemed natural to combine both skills. David uses reclaimed or found wood, it’s good to find a second life for what is often discarded, it adds to the creative process and unexpected solutions come from it. All the pots are coiled and pinched to shape and wood-fired to stoneware using predominantly ash and shino glazes.
David has been making pots since the mid 70’s and exhibits and sells his work throughout Europe, with pieces held in private collections in Austria, Germany and USA.
