Kyra Cane
Kyra’s precarious porcelain vessels explore the limits of material and process to produce forms reminiscent of the wilderness spaces that are her inspiration. Practice is informed by a strong visual language underpinned by drawing.
Using clay she explores the fragility of ceramic process and skill to bring attention to environments where balance is threatened by changes in our climate. Using matter that is made from the earth itself, her experimental thrown vessels expose the fragility of our ever-changing landscapes.
