Nel Faulkner
Nel Faulkner studied 3D Design at Chelsea School of Art and worked in Paris designing shops and furniture before choosing a career in ceramics in her late twenties. She makes bold, characterful work which distorts and subverts conventional ceramics, looking to trigger memories of other forms and to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. She has developed her own robust experimental techniques using solid clay, irregular shapes and unexpected combinations.
