Lena Krivenkova
Lena Krivenkova is a London-based ceramic artist with a background in illustration. Her practice explores awkwardness, quietness, and the subtle presence of abstract form. Her vessels are not about beauty but about character, shaped by gestures that feel raw, vulnerable, or unresolved. Though abstract, her shapes suggest movement, pause, or a feeling beneath the surface. Working with porcelain and stoneware, Lena uses coiling and slab-building techniques, favouring slips, oxides, and weathered finishes. Playful forms emerge intuitively, resulting in sculptural vessels that balance familiarity and strangeness.
