Cleo Mussi
Cleo Mussi brings a new lease of life to discarded, historical tableware; a visual storyteller creating works with materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. In her studio she carefully arranges salvaged, precision hand cut shards into larger than life size gestural figurative mosaics. Cleo explores our floral landscape, with its migratory species carried for their culinary uses and herbal remedies as well as botanical, colloquial folklores. Recently she has collaborated with florists and flower farmers, creating captivating, decorative, political and humorous multilayered installations. In 2021 she was represented at The British Ceramics Biennial and published ‘Mussi Mosaic Manufactory’.
