Tuba Önder Demircioğlu
Tuba is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture and mixed media, with a focus on porcelain and stoneware. Drawn to porcelain’s delicate, semi-translucent qualities, Tuba works without molds to maintain a direct, tactile relationship with the material, preserving the trace of the hand. Her practice is shaped by philosophy and the idea of encounter – a transformative meeting between self, material, and the unknown. Through high firing, material becomes a record of time, resistance, and patience. Tuba’s works hold a tension between fragility and strength, inviting open-ended interpretations shaped through the viewer’s experience.
