Clare Palmer
Clare is drawn to movement, fluid forms, and the contrast between softness and rawness. A quiet tension runs through the work, shaped by the balance between control and letting go. She often tries to push the material beyond its usual limits, working against gravity during firing.
Her sculptures reflect an interest in the inner world and how it differs from what we present outwardly. They touch on ideas of self-presentation, the parts of ourselves that remain unclear or unfinished, and the depth that can exist beneath a calm surface.
