Mizuyo Yamashita
Mizuyo Yamashita’s still life compositions are rooted in meditation, from the act of making to the process of arranging. She draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, from natural forms to everyday design objects, exploring shapes, surfaces, and techniques to achieve a sense of balance, beauty, and harmony in her work. Her three-dimensional still life compositions embody a quiet dialogue between utility and expression. What emerges is neither the dominance of function nor of individual presence, but a balanced harmony in which each object quietly contributes to a larger whole.
