Agalis Manessi
Agalis Manessi is a ceramic artist working from studios in London and Corfu. Her work lies within the tradition of maiolica inspired by classical subjects: frescos, museums, and observations made directly from life. Agalis exhibits widely in the UK and Europe, including recently at Messums, Wiltshire and New Ashgate Gallery. Media features include: The New York Times Magazine and Ceramics: Art and Perception. Manessi is a fellow of the Craft Potters Association and Brother of The Art Workers’ Guild. A Journey in Painted Clay, a monograph celebrating fifty years of working in ceramics was published by unicorn press in autumn 2023.
