Jane Cairns
Jane Cairns makes hand built sculptural ceramics and wall panels that seek to share the accidental poetry she finds in the unnoticed and overlooked. Living in the city this is often found in apparently insignificant visual details of the built environment.
Taking an experimental approach to ceramic processes and materials her work reflects urban forms, colours and textures and captures the unexpected beauty of neglected places and found objects.
She lives and works in London and her studio is on the banks of the river by the Thames Barrier.
