Melina Xenaki
Melina Xenaki, a proud alumna of the Royal College of Art (2012-2014) is an Athens based ceramics artist. Melina is in love with how the animal and plant world are at the heart of the Mediterranean crafts across millennia. Inspired by ancient artefacts and folk art of her rich cultural heritage, from the mysterious Bronze Age Cypriot pots carrying goats and birds on their rims to the intricate beauty of 19th century Cretian embroidered gardens, she pairs hand-building with constant glaze research in order to communicate in her own style her passion for the connection of nature and craftsmanship.
