My life in Canterbury is simple. My main event of the day, rather than studio work, is walking. I see more trees than humans. I also talk to more trees than humans. That’s why much of my work is associated with trees and forests. Trees are the last giants remaining on the earth. They sustain many lives on them. They make oxygen for us. There are so many reasons to celebrate their lives and the lives on them. Ceramic sculpture is one way for me to express my admiration for them.
