New works combine hand building and throwing, many are burnished. They are linear and non-linear in both thought process and finish – emerging from and infused with a very personal ceramic dialogue between East and West. Pieces are individually raku-fired. It’s a fiery feral dance, capturing moments that align unconscious spirit, haptic knowledge, controlled technique and expressive release. It’s risky, ‘seat of the pants’ ceramics.
Pieces have been acquired for many museum and private collections around the world.
