Alvin paints pictorial narrative to create a pastiche of events proposed for the register of historical relevance. Recent projects feature a cocktail of fact, contemporary social comment, peppered with a degree of metaphysical thoughtfulness. Essentially each piece has a sense of its own particular drama.
