Antonia Salmon
Every sculpture Antonia makes is an attempt to capture a State of Being at a moment in time. She sees the role of artist is to clear through the complexity and noise of our modern world; to distil essence of visceral experiencing into sculptural form.
Antonia finds inspiration in landscape and intimate natural forms, the order of geometry and observing forms that hold both tension and relaxedness. She handbuilds all her sculptures; spending hours carving, honing, texturing, burnishing, firing and polishing each work, so that what you will sense and feel in them is both beauty and timeless contemplation.
Antonia Salmon is a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association.
