Bahareh Khomeiry

Bahareh Khomeiry’s ceramic practice unites architecture and emotion, transforming structure into lived experience. Starting with construction – layering and assembling – her forms evolve into sculptures that suggest wind, movement, and shifting human states.

Rooted in Persian culture and shaped by her experience as an Iranian woman, her work channels memory, protest, and hope, creating pieces that are both personal and universal.

Her series Hair as Freedom: Cut Plaits reflected the resilience of women moving from entrapment to unity. Her new body of work, Breeze Away, gives form to intangible forces, where clay becomes structure, breath, and profoundly human expression.
