Emily Stubbs

Through her work, Emily explores the dynamic relationship between colour, form, and texture. Expanding from her collaged two-dimensional works, she translates this visual language into three-dimensional vessels. By deconstructing and rebuilding clay forms, she introduces exaggerated overhangs, angles, and layered surfaces, collaging clay slabs to create fragmented structures. Each vessel is anchored in a single colour, with bold brushstrokes and intuitive mark-making guiding the viewer’s eye across shifting planes. Through the interplay of strong line, vivid colour, and gestural marks, her ceramics tell fleeting, abstracted stories.

Emily Stubbs is a Selected Member of the Craft Potters Association.
