My work explores the manipulation of perception in three-dimensional ceramic forms through tonal bands and clay block arrangements, creating illusory spatial effects that redefine the actual form. Straddling the boundary between illusion and reality, my art entices viewers with captivating visual phenomena and surface-level mysteries. Purposefully omitting or altering surface information enhances the likelihood of viewers oscillating between these two realms. When observed with half-closed eyes, in dimmer lighting, and from a distance, the illusions come alive. Consequently, my art invites a distinctive voyage through the interplay of perception and deception, offering a one-of-a-kind exploration of the boundaries of reality.
