Lisa Biris
Lisa Biris creates sculptural objects out of porcelain and stoneware which are inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature. All objects are based on three principles: texture, contrast and movement. Her process of creation is organic and seldom pre-planned, this instills the pieces with a natural organic feeling as if a piece might have naturally grown into the end result instead of being manmade. Each object takes many hours to create, every little element of texture is made and added individually. The glaze, oxides and lusters are also applied separately with a (small) brush on the object.
