The Curio Vessels are an exploration in form. Small but intriguing, and inviting curiosity and investigation through their structural elements. All of which are separate thrown sections, interconnected to create a cohesive whole. They play with formal qualities including geometry, rhythm, balance, and mystery, and aim to offer beauty and strength in a compact scale.
For Ceramic Art London, Matthew will create an installation of many vessels in varied clays, colours, and structures. Each will be unique and stand alone, whilst collectively they will create an intricate dialogue.
