Soyeon Gim
Seoul-based ceramic artist Soyeon Gim explores the potential of clay through a material-driven approach. Using wheel-throwing as her primary method, she creates forms that emphasise the experiential qualities of objects — form, weight, and texture — over function. By combining wheel-throwing with hand-carving, she departs from symmetry and develops diverse, expressive shapes. The contrast between glaze texture and clay colour further enriches the visual impact of her work.
